Falanster's English Speakers Club. Season II.

Since 15 october the youth organization “Falanster” starts the second season of the rhetoric’s club - The Falanster’s Speakers Club, where We’ll learn the art of listening, thinking and speaking in English together. In the second season the main focus will be on theory and practice of the eloquence. The separate block will be the translation of texts from Russian and Belarusian language to English and vice versa.
The Falanster’s Speakers Club won’t be like the traditional forms of education, as school or university. We offer:
- Education, which is managed by learners, not by teachers;
- Role structure, that everyone could take an active part;
- Independent choice of learning’s form and format (speeches, debates, performances and etc.);
- Teamwork and mutual aid;
- Formulation and elaboration their own understanding what each member of the club wishes to achieve;
- Assessment of own successes based on self-developed criteria.
Thus, apart from the practice of public speaking and translations FSC will become a platform of social experiment of an alternative approach to education.
