Encrypted on the first Cryptoparty
The first Cryptoparty held in Minsk on 5 February, in the day of Global Internet Safety Day.
When organizers arrived to the meeting place, the most interested and punctual participants had already taken places in the one of co-working's room called "Gravitation". They sat down slowly and didn't show a sign, may be they had already been ciphered!
4 tables and 15 chairs. Each one of the knowledge sender had up to five attentive listeners. They installed GNUpg, Thunderbird and enigmail on both Windows and Linux. They were exchanging keys and sending coded messages, e-mails and files. All problems and errors were solved individually.
The participations besieged professionals with questions, such as "Is the Encryption legal in our country?” or “Could we encrypt messages in chats, audio or video in Skype?" They got all the answers.
In three hours we managed to uncover basic principles of the work of programs and immersed people into a mysterious world of enciphering. Cryptoparty was successful!
